Bench Donation Scheme
The bench donation scheme enables the public to mark a special
family event, anniversary or celebration or maybe even to remember
someone special. Donations can be made by individuals, local groups
or organisations.
The bench could then be placed in one of the following parks;
Grosvenor & Hilbert Recreation Ground, Calverley Grounds,
Hawkenbury Recreation Ground, St. John's Recreation Ground or The
Grove, Royal Tunbridge Wells.

Donated benches can carry an inscription on the back rest and a
special message can be included in the Register of Donations
displayed in the Council Chamber foyer at the Town Hall. The
Register can also be viewed on the Council's website.
You are still able to donate a tree in Dunorlan Park, and can
also now donate a shrub under the Tree and Shrub Donation
Scheme. Futher details can be found on our Tree and Shrub
Donation page.
Take a look at the attached PDF document for details of the
scheme and to find out more about making a donation. Owing to
the popularity of the bench donation scheme in Dunorlan Park we
cannot accept any further applications for benches. Bench spaces in
other parks are still available as listed above.
