The Environmental Services Department provides a comprehensive
range of services aiming to maintain, protect and improve the
health of the community and the quality of life in the Borough.
Our Aims
We aim to:
- Achieve improvement in the health and environment of the whole
community
- Deliver efficient and effective public health and environmental
services
- Improve and develop ways to communicate matters of health and
the environment
- Play our part in ensuring future generations enjoy
environmental conditions and a quality of life at least as good as
ours, if not better
- Organise and deliver services to meet the health and
environmental challenges of the 21st century
Our Range of Services
We protect the environment and promote the health of the people
who live and work in, or visit, the borough of Tunbridge Wells
through a wide range of activities. These include:

Emergencies
For serious environmental health emergencies outside normal
office hours such as food poisoning, noise nuisance affecting a
wide area or serious accident in the workplace contact the
